Windows 10: The search box at the bottom of the pag (task box) has disappeared.

Is this a function of the latest update? What are we supposed to use instead? I went to Fire Explorer to look for my printer, using the initials HP, and was presented with a long list that had nothing to do with what I wanted. I used to be able to go to that search box and enter HP and the HP program would come right up. Now it's become complicated.


If it's not part of the update, how can I get it back? Can I get it back even with the update. First it seemingly disabled my printer, now this. Not a very good update.

Search Box in Windows Task Manager

I would like to suggest Microsoft for providing Search Box in Windows Task Manager. While running too many tasks, the search box is required to search the processes.

It might have happened if you have selected
Show search icon instead Show search box from the task bar.

In that case, I suggest you to:

  Right-click on the task bar.
  
• 
  Click on Search.
  
• 
  Select Show search box.
