Windows SearchApp error

I'm John an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I'll be happy to assist you today. I understand you have a problem with Windows SearchApp error. Did you made any changes recently? When was the last time it was working properly?

Method 2.

**Repair all Windows apps via Powershell

Windows key+X then select Windows Powershell (Admin)

copy paste the command below one at a time then press Enter. Please ignore the red errors and let the process complete.

Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.Windows.ShellExperienceHost | foreach {Add-AppxPackage -register "$($_.InstallLocation)\appxmanifest.xml" -DisableDevelopmentMode}

Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Restart your Computer

SearchApp crash

You did not get a BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) failure though, correct? This is an application crash?

If so then this is the wrong forum as it is mean for BSOD crashes only as the header says.





You would be better posting in the General Support. If you like I can ask one of the Admins to move your thread there for you.

 

Windows Explorer search bar not working after 2004 update

Today i just updated my win10 to ver 2004 with the new search bar but turns oit it was a disaster

I tried to search a file and it result nothing just "The folder is empty" while is not, i try to manually search file and it's still there but the search bar can find it.

I tried to rebuild index, change the folder option, restarting SearchApp. Even the troubleshoot said there is a problem but the solution is restarting the Search process still have no result.

Please help. Thank You
