Windows 10: The second screen is not appearing using an adaptor for HDMI

I have a windows 11, and I'm trying to connect a third screen with an hdmi adaptor. My graphic says I can hold 4 screens, therefore there is no issue there. I have same graphic in other computer and it's working well with the adaptor of HDMI.I have :- unplugged, replugged and cycled power in all different orders - no change- check for updates with Windows update - all up to date- upgrades display adapter drivers, rolled back display adapter drivers, checked with manufacturer Lenovo for updated drivers - all up to date- tried multiple resolutions and refresh rates - no change- tested the HDMI

installing benfei USB 3.0 to HDMI adaptor

Trying to set up 2 screens off of a del laptop - screens have hdmi connections and there is only one hdmi port on the laptop. I have purchased a benfei adaptor USB 3.0 to HDMI adaptor.

Cannot get the second screen working - scfreen says no hdmi signal . Laptop cannot detect the 3rd screen.

IT dept tell me that this should work and both screens work individually from the laptop hdmi port.

any suggestions?

This issue could be caused due to some incorrect settings or due to an incompatible driver. I would suggest you to try these steps and check:



First, I would suggest you to check if you have configured the second screen correctly. It depends on which settings you have selected for the second monitor. You can extend, duplicate or choose only the second screen to be ON. If you have selected only the
second screen to be ON and if the second screen is not compatible, then both the screen might appear black. Refer to this article to check if you have configured the second screen correctly:

I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the graphic card driver from the manufacturer website and check, if it works. Refer to the following steps to uninstall the graphic card driver from the Device Manager.

a. Click on Windows key + X and then, select Device Manager.

b. Locate and expand “Display Adaptor” in the Device Manager Window.

c. Right-click on the “Display Adaptor” and click on “uninstall" the graphic card driver.

d. Restart the computer and check, if it works.

USB to HDMI adaptor

Where would I find a USB 3.0 to HDMI adaptor for my Dell all in one PC running windows 10.

I want to hook a tv up to it for a second monitor. I'm not even sure if it will work. Does anyone have any experience with this?
