Windows 10: The setting to turn Efficiency Mode off for all apps is missing

I use Windows 11. When I'm playing games, sometimes I get lag spikes when Windows automatically puts the game into efficiency mode. I can manually turn it off, but it doesn't solve the issue of the lag when it gets activated the first time. Apparently there should be a setting to turn it off in Settings > System > Power and battery > Battery usage, but nothing related to Efficiency mode is listed under there. I've checked every tutorial I can find that lists this setting and they're all using a reasonably up-to-date no older than early 2024 version of Windows. Does anyone know wher

A way to permanently set efficiency mode for an app ?

i am using OneNote for Windows 10 on my Surface Pro 7. when i set efficiency mode for OneNote Win 10 or any other App, efficiency mode is turned off for the app when i close it and open it again. the same thing happens with the CPU affinity settings of apps in the task manager. Is this an intentional behavior ? is there any way to permanently set the cpu affinity or efficiency mode for apps in Windows 11 ?

Thanks for the response.

I tried what you suggested and disabled both settings, relaunched, and turned off efficiency mode for each sub-process it was active for.

Within 2 minutes, efficiency mode was re-activated, so your solution didn't seem to work.

I am on a desktop so I don't think the battery one would have any effect.

Efficiency mode is making every browser run slow. I cant do multiple things while using any browser without it running slow. Cant turn it off with task manager or in any of the browser settings. Why can i not turn off efficiency mode on MY COMPUTER?
