Windows 10: The Sharper Image 5 Day Weather Forecast has been down since Oct. 12, 2022, Any Solutions

I did the recent update around 2020 using the WAMP Server to get my Sharper Image 5 Day Weather Forecast working again using a free account with weatherbit.io. But as of Oct. 12, 2022, it stopped working again. I re-did all the steps on my Windows 7 with no success, even using an alternate weatherbit.io code. I read a post of another person who experienced the same issue, so I know the problem is not my computer, nor is it my display unit. Please post something if anyone finds a fix. Thank you!

The Sharper Image 5 Day Weather Forecast not populating since October 12, 2022

I updated the instructions to get my Sharper Image 5 Day Weather Forecast working again, however, beginning on Oct. 12, 2022, it stopped populating weather information for some reason. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a known fix for it? Thanks!

Are you getting an error message? If so, what is the complete text?

Does "I updated the instructions to get my Sharper Image 5 Day Weather Forecast working again" mean that you followed the instructions here: Redirecting

If so, I suspect that the issue is that the replacement weather data server suggested in those directions --

Weatherbit | Global Weather Data Service -- no longer offers "a free account and ... a free Master API Key." From what I can tell from that site, it now offers a 30-day free trial and then wants $8/month for non-commercial use.

If you did something other than following the suggestions at the above link, you can try to do so now and perhaps your weather forecasting app will work -- for 30 days. If that is satisfactory to you, you can decide if you want to pay to keep it going.

 

Sharper Image Weather Station EC-WS115 not updating

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I have had the Sharper Image EC-WS115 weather station since 2009 and was very disappointed that Sharper Image left us with a working piece of hardware and no software provider. I searched earlier this year (2021) and didn't see this thread until March 14, 2021.

I downloaded your Dropbox .zip file and made a few goofs of my own, but eventually was successful in getting my weather station back up and running.

Your documentation touches on all of the potential issues that I ran into. Well done! Great effort, job and results! I truly appreciate everyone and all of the work and efforts put forth by everyone involved!
