Windows 10: The "Show Search Box" Option Is Missing In Settings

As of the original "Moment 2" update to windows 11, the search box option has been missing for me, at first I could see the option, but after a day or 2 it disappeared, now I have just updated to the latest stable build "22621.1555" and I am still experiencing the problem, I have tried troubleshooting windows search and rebooting, but this did not help, if anyone has any suggestions, please reply.

The reason why you're unable to see the option Show search box when navigating to Cortana is that your taskbar is set to use small icons. To rectify this, the option to use small taskbar icons should be turned off. Follow these steps:

• Do a right-click on the taskbar and click Settings.
• Under the Taskbar tab, look for Use small taskbar buttons, toggle it
  Off, and then close the Settings window.
  
• Once done, right-click the taskbar again and navigate to Cortana. You should be able to see now and enable the option
  Show search box.

Windows 10 Search box

Which instructions are you suggesting I missed? There is no search icon. Right clicking the taskbar shows no search option. The "small characters" or icons trick did nothing. The regedit thing:
Follow these steps to turn on the hidden search box:

• Open regedit
• Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Search
• Inside the search key, create the new DWORD value named EnableSearchBox and set it to 1
• Restart your computer or simply Explorer Shell

Did not give me a search option that I can find.

So in at least MY version of windows 10 there is no search box I can find that will allow me to search my own computer to find possible misplaced files.

So what are the instructions?
