Windows 10: The sign in button for the feature to add a new mail account is greyed out/disabled.

The sign in button that must be submitted for a new mail account to be set up is greyed out. I've followed a few suggestions online to fix it including, setting up and logging in with a local account instead of the online microsoft account and I've also changed the user type from standard to administrator and both suggestion have not worked. This is the case for setting up of all mail account types including gmail, yahoo, outlook, imap or pop3 accounts. I'll appreciate guidance on how to proceed. System: HP Laptop, Windows 11

WINDOWS 10 "MAIL" - NEW ACCOUNT "SIGN IN" GREYED OUT - WHY?!

Having previously successfully set up 3 email accounts in Windows 10 Mail (which are working OK), now I try to set up a
forth one (via "Add account"/"Other account" or "Advanced setup", the "Sign in" button at the end is now permanently "greyed out" (even after re-booting)! Why?! How to overcome this?

 

Mail app only working when signed in under Admin account


Upgraded from Windows 7 about two months ago, but this just started a few days ago.
Tried to read my email and found that I could not use the mail app when signed in under my User account. (previously worked fine.)
If I sign in under my Admin account, the mail app works normally.
I've tried deleting and reinstalling the mail/calendar app, and now I don't even have the icons to launch them- not even listed on the start menu, except when using the Admin account.
Is there another way to launch or repair the app?
Any suggested fixes?
Don't want to keep having to sign in as Admin just to read my email.

Advice needed : New e-mail account

If you require privacy, host your own email service or create your own domain and get a trustworthy host. Nothing is private online with those companies as you agree to them doing anything they want with your data when you sign up. If you are not overly fussed, I would probably suggest Gmail.

I think Gmail has the best customization features compared with Outlook and Yahoo. I also think Gmail to be the 'friendly' one for multi-web tasking.

Replies from other people and features such as in-mail is dependant on the website and forum which differs from site to site. I believe they are all equal in this regard.

You can always use something like Microsoft's Outlook to have all your accounts logged in at the same time. With IMAP you can have everything synced, always. This includes calendar's, schedules, mails, contacts etc etc.
