Skype font size too big after changing it on HiDPI display

I'm using Skype 7.131. I'm using Windows 10, refreshed two days ago, meaning I haven't touched compatibility settings or anything I could've forgotten about. I have a HiDPI display, set to 225% scaling.

Because Skype's font sizing decisions are inscrutable2, I wanted to adjust my font size for the messages at least. I bumped it up to about 16pt, and the fonts showed up gigantic, so I changed it to the smallest size available - 8 pt - and they're still huge.

Is there any way to meaningfully adjust font size in Skype, or is this a known bug in Skype and all I can do is wait?

I have windows 10 with i5 processor, laptop with touch screen.

I have tried endlessly using different settings and searching the web. Apparently there was a recent upgrade that didn't improve the situation. The only solution is to use 150% and also use the magnifier to read things like
menues. I echo remarks from another user (I don't have the link, sorry):

Help with nokia pt-6?

I have been using pt-6 for a few years now and I changed my telephone subscriber a month ago. Ofcourse my number also changed. My old number was the main user for pt-6 and now I can't do anything with my new number. Is there a way to set a new main user
for pt-6?
