Windows 10: The start menu has disappeared and the activity bar does not work as it should

    The start menu has disappeared and the activity bar does not work as it should


    I have tried all the ways given in the support center, but it does not help. I cannot find the start menu and so I cannot find the Office programs. They are installed and if I try to open an old document with Word or Excel it works. I cannot search in the search field in the task bar neither in the explorer, because I cannot write anything there.The icon of the calculator I can find in the Task bar, but when I click it it disáppears.I get no error messages.Enhetsnamn DESKTOP-N8SP13O Processor IntelR CoreTM i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.71 GHz Installerat RAM-minne 8,00 GB 7,66 GB går att an

    Start menu disappeared

    I tried all the suggested steps without any improvement. What's next?

    Start Bar not working after update install in Windows 10


    Hi, tried as you suggest. It starts and says Checking application registration... and the green progress bar just goes on and on (let it run for over two hours) and never gets to the next step. Any other suggestions?

    My mail app has disappeared from my app list since the recent update. How can I add 'Mail. to my start menu and task bar?
