    The stub received bad data.

    We have all the same problems - The stub received bad data, crashing services when windows update start.

    Yesterday kb3189866 was installed, win 14393.187, and today I have the same - The stub received bad data, crashing services in system log.

    I have manually disabled Delivery Optimization Service. Testing.

    I frequently get this "stub received bad data" error when I try to open Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 Professional as an administrator from a pinned shortcut in my taskbar. The shortcut property is set to "open as administrator". Typically it occurs
    when I right-click the pinned shortcut to start a new instance of Visual Studio when I already have one or more projects opens. The "stub received bad data" error is thrown. I [OK] to close it. Then try the shortcut again and it usually opens without issues.
