'Failed to connect to a windows service: Windows could not connect to the System Event Notification Service service.

I am running windows 10, and I got this message:

'Failed to connect to a windows service: Windows could not connect to the System Event Notification Service service. This problem prevents limited users from logging on to the system. As an administrator user, you can review the System Event Log for details
about why the service didn't respond.'

What do I do to fix this?

• Since when are you facing this issue?
• Did you make any recent changes prior to this issue?

I request you to try the methods below:

Method 1:

Restart the System Event Notification Service and check if this helps.

• Press Windows logo + R on the keyboard.
• Type services.msc and press Enter.
• If prompted, click on Continue in the UAC prompt, or provide the administrator password to approve.
  
• Right click on the service you want to restart.

Method 2:

System Event Notification Service

I'm running Windows 7. Whenever I power up my laptop, the following message pops up on the home screen: "Windows could not connect to the System Event Notification Service service. This problem prevents standard users from logging on to the system. As
an administrative user, you can review the System Event Log for detail about why the service didn't respond."

This message just started showing up about a week ago. I have no idea what this notification service is or where the System Event Log is. I simply close out this message & go on about my business. Can anyone help me with this?
