    It is very specific for me to use windows. I only use this operating system at work, and that very rarely. There are a lot of problems that I have encountered, but one of them is the most fun. The microsoft developers seem to have some kind of black sense of humor if this kind of thing is going on in the system. I'm fine with the option of installing the drivers for the video card from the manufacturer's website, which I did. Put the win10-radeon-pro-software-enterprise-21.q1.2 variant and everything is kind of fine. I sometimes use software from amd to configure things like capturing video f

    Microsoft Auto-Updates Components of Windows Without User Permission

    The nine files that are updated all have to do with the Auto-Updater itself.
    The article lists them all. No big deal.

    I run auto-update anyway, so BRING ON THE NEW UPDATES !!!
    I have yet to experience any problems from MS updates on my XP network.

    Black Screen During Driver Update The system updates the drivers, although the settings prohibit auto update :(

    I reinstalled my laptop back to factory settings, and I wanted to update the GPU drivers. But when I try, the screen turns black during the update, but the computer is still running. I was forced to turn off the computer and turn it back on. I used system restore, so now I'm using the default drivers that came with the laptop. Can you guys suggest anything?

    auto update

    gpuz 3.8 checks for updates when it starts, and finds that there is an update. It then asks me, "would you like to update to the new version?" I select yes, but nothing happens. I guess it is supposed to auto install, or at least open a browser to the tpu download page for gpuz... but nothing happens.

    I have chrome set to my default browser in winxp.
