  1. The taskbar has part of the desktop under it..?

As the title says it, the taskbar has part of the desktop under it so when i go to right click the taskbar, the desktop context menu pops up and that's annoying as hell. Just resetted my pc this wasn't happening before. Here you can see the line where the taskbar ends and the wallpaper begins. Please help this is VERY annoying.

    :)

Desktop icons moved to taskbar menu

    Please try this:

    • Right click an empty part of the Desktop and choose 'View' - Show Desktop Icons
    • Right click the Taskbar, select 'Toolbars' and uncheck Desktop

  3. Pesky Taskbar

    Hi Watson,

This behavior of your Taskbar is part of the settings set on your computer.

To automatically hide your Taskbar, follow the steps below:

    • Right click on the Taskbar.
    • Select Taskbar settings.
    • Toggle the switch to on for Automatically hide the Taskbar in desktop mode.

Note that it’s not permanently hidden, it’s just hidden if the pointer is away from it.

Hope this helps. Keep us posted for other concerns if you have any.

    taskbar tranparency

    Hi Dan,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. I will surely assist you with this.

I would suggest you to change the desktop themes and check if you are able to see the transparent taskbar.

If that doesn't help I would suggest you to end the explorer.exe and restart it and see if you are able to see the transparent taskbar.

Please follow the steps below to restart explorer.exe:

    stop and start Explorer.exe

      • Right click on the taskbar and select task manager.

      • In the process Right click on windows explorer and end the task

      • Restart the task by clicking on the file and select new task

      • Type Explorer.exe and press enter.
    And see if it helps.

Do let us know the result. We will be glad to help if you need further assistance.
