  2. Using Dual Monitors in Remote Desktop Session with customized DPI (medium font) set to 125%

    Good morning,

I have to connect to a PC with “Windows 10 Pro” in “Remote Desktop” from a PC running “Windows 7 Pro” and “Remote Desktop 6.3.9600 - Protocol 8.1”.

Both pcs have 2 identical monitors and the set resolution has medium characters with DPI at 125%.

As I try to connect with RDC, the remote session shows me correctly the two monitors but it always displays the small characters
with DPI 96% instead of 125%.

Please let me know if it’s a bug of Windows 10 with double monitor and if a hotfix is available to solve the problem.

I have been looking everywhere for a solution but I haven’t found anything.

    Thanks

  3. Entering underscore character

I am attempting to set up an email account whose name contains an underscore character ( _ ). I also am attempting to enter a username containing an underscore character on a web site. The on screen keyboard does not seem to have this character as an option,
    how do I enter it?

I am using Windows phone 8 latest update on a Nokia Lumina Icon, also known as the Nokia 929.

The underscore _ character is not visible in Notepad when the display DPI is set to 125%

    DPI Settings

Yesterday I realised that Windows recommend to have the DPI settings at 125%

I know that they have changed the whole DPI system in the creators update, but I wonder if there is an article that explain why the setting 125% and not 100% is recommended?

    in Windows 10 Support
DPI settings over 125% produce smaller fonts in some situations.: I needed fonts on my 24" monitors to be a little larger for my aging eyes. So I settled on 135%. One consequence of doing this is that some fonts are smaller now. A good example is Task Manager. Other examples are some message boxes. It appears when you go over 125% DPI this...
