Windows 10: The update left my laptop in a loop

I was unable to get automatic updates to work on my laptop so I used the Windows update assistance program and everything seemed to be working fine. After "update and restart" it is stuck in a loop. Displays the HP logo, then the Windows logo with a rotating circle, then "undo the changes made on the computer" and restart. I have tried everything

I need help I am desperate this is the second time my laptop has problems.

Corrupted touchpad driver is one of the possible reasons why this issue is happening. We suggest uninstalling the driver to see if it helps. Follow the steps below:

• Open Device Manager.
  
• Double-click Mice and other pointing devices to expand.
  
• Right-click the TouchPad driver, then click Properties.
  
• Go to the Driver tab.
  
• Click Uninstall.
  
• Restart your laptop to automatically reinstall the driver.

Why would I not give you a check list that works for everyone else? Did you not want the full list of steps that work most, just one at a time or to ask a bunch of questions when I deal with the issue here more than a dozen times a day?

If you know all about fixing boot loops, what is the Windows Update Assist program? If you're referring to the Upgrade Assistant that's only to install Version Updates and it's buggy. You didn't even mention this is a version Update, so I tailored the steps
to include both Windows Update and Version Updates since you didn't even say which.

The only stable way to install problem Version Updates is by running the media.
