Windows 10: The US-International keyboard accents not registry if pressed quickly after a character

I use the US-International layout because I type in portugues a lot but I was noticing a lot of times that I miss the accents in letters. Later I noticed in english too in words like It's.Lets take the It's for example, if I press the ' key very quickly after you press T, the moment you press S the ' will not appear. This happen for any accent or "dead keys" that you press quickly after a character.I constantly have to rewrite the letter or type slower. How can I fix this?P.S.: I tested another keyboard to see if it's a hardware problem, but is not, is a software issue.

Troubles with accent on QWERTY keyboard

Conflicts with the keyboard settings after the update is one of the possible reasons why you are having issues creating an accented letter using your keyboard. For us to assist you better, kindly answer the questions below:

• Which OS build number of Windows 10 is currently installed? To check, press the
  Windows key, type winver, and press the
  Enter key.
• What application or platform are you trying to input this character?
• What is the make and model of your keyboard?
• Have you tried updating the keyboard driver?

Meanwhile, you can try to use the Character Map and check if you will be able to insert the accented letters. The Character Map was made to allow users to insert special characters on their documents. To open the Character Map, You can follow these steps:

• Press the Windows key + S to open Search
  Bar.
• Type Character Map, then click it.
• When the application launches, look for the special character that you want to insert on your document.

Accented Characters input using Touch keyboard, Microsoft Surface Book.

We understand your concern and appreciate the time and effort that you have taken to research on the issue. We have looked into this for you, the character options when you press and hold a letter is available on the Touch Keyboard, you can enable
the Touch Keyboard by turning the Tablet mode ‘ON’ on your Surface Book. To enable the tablet mode on your Surface, you can follow the steps below.

1. Enable Tablet mode by referring
   Turn tablet mode on or off.
   
2. Then click on keyboard icon at the right bottom corner of the taskbar.
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
3. Then try using foreign character and symbols.
   

You can refer the picture below for the character options that are available for letter ‘e’.







However, the On-screen keyboard will provide the options that are similar to a physical keyboard. For more information on the character options that are available, I would suggest you to refer to

Special characters in us international keyboard

I write in Spanish and English. For Spanish special characters such as accents, I have used the US English International keyboard layout for years (Windows XP, 7, 8) with no problem. I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and I now have accents but no tilde
(~) for the n. I have not changed the keyboard layout. Can anybody help?
