Windows 10: The webcam turns on by itself

The webcam on my laptop turns on by itself.
I have found that it turns on when any sound is played. For example, I am talking on MS Teams with the video OFF. But the camera nevertheless turns on the light near the camera is on.

It often happens that the camera quickly turns on and off when a message arrives in Viber.

Or when I open a new web page in a browser I have not given ANY permission to use the camera to ANY site for sure.

Sometimes I open a site in a new tab - a light comes on near the camera. I close the tab - the light goes out.
Also, the webcam light comes on, for example, when playing a video on YouTube.
Moreover, all this arises only IF THE HEADSET IS CONNECTED TO THE LAPTOP. That is, there is some kind of connection between the spontaneous switching on of the webcam and the headset.

The webcam may have stopped working due to hardware failure, or a loose cable that connects it to the device’s motherboard. We suggest that you try to show hidden devices in
Device Manager by following these steps:

• Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.
• Click on the View tab and select Show hidden devices.
  

If you are seeing the webcam drivers, uninstall them. Then restart your device to check if Windows will be able to recognize the webcam and will install the drivers.

Method 1:

I would suggest you to run the Hardware troubleshooter and check if it helps.

Follow the steps to run the troubleshooter:

a. Type Troubleshooting in the search bar
and select Troubleshooting.

b. Select View all on the top left corner.

c. Click on Hardware and device troubleshooter.

d. Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter

Also I suggest you to check if you are able to use the Webcam with the Camera app.

Method 2:

If you are able to access Camera app, follow the steps mentioned below:

• Open Camera app.
• Press Windows key + C from your keyboard to open
  Charms bar.
• Select Settings option.
• Select Permissions option.
• Turn on Allow this app to access your: Webcam and Microphone option.
• Close the app.
• Reopen the Camera app.
• Connect your camera and then check how this app works.
