Windows 10: The Windows 10 Icon in the Left bottom corner doesnot respond after update.

My Windows Auto Update automatically updated and installed the latest version of W10 and now everything is messed up! The "Widgets" is overrunning my desktop! I lost the Left bottom corner ability to see the "Power" icon and select to Close, Restart.....I have to now go to CTRL>ALT>DELETE to shut my computer down!!The recent update also "DEleted" my last "Restore Point" so when I went to return to previous session..It was deleted! Here are screen shots. I cannot find out how to restore the previous icon to control my computer. Now I cannot submit more that 1 image here. This is actuactua

I have the same issue and it started after the last Windows 10 update earlier this week. The first steps, from the first response, did not work but at least seem to have gone through some process. This last list of options has done nothing but frustrate
me even more. The DISM commands led to error messages. When I went to the website to clean boot it doesn't even list Windows 10. I did not try the last suggestion, setting up a new account. So frustrated!!!

The windows icon in bottom left corner is only working by me right clicking, It had been working properly but not now . I cannot get into all the things that is supposed to show when left clicking , like cortanas notebook and all essencials

OK. I've solved my problem. I don't know what brand of computer you have but I have a Toshiba. I got a message from Toshiba that there was an update that I needed for Microsoft Windows 10 to work correctly. Whatever Microsoft put in their last update it
made it not fully compatible with my computer. Ran the update and now I can shut my computer down left clicking on the Windows icon in the left bottom corner. Hopefully this will work for you!
