Windows 10: The windows 10 optional update corrupted my PC

Today is Monday... The day when I check whether my PC windows is up to date. When I checked the updates... And there was an optional update. I just tried to install it thinking that what can possibly go wrong with Microsoft huh it's just an update? While the update was installing... my PC restarted a MILLION times as it said. But then... it got stuck at 85%. I was still calm. Then the PC again restarted...but this time there was a little text saying opening windows recovery something something and guess what? A blue screen appeared having a million buttons and whenever I click on restart normally, the exact same screen shows up.... This means it CLEARLY corrupted my PC. Pls don't blame my internet the internet was rocking at that time because I was playing Fall Guys on my other laptop which needs A VERY GOOD INTERNET otherwise it keeps disconnecting. I tried all the options there but nothing. Even tried a lot of YouTube tutorials but still nothing. This means I need to buy another window 10 which is not cheap. WHY MICROSOFT WHY!? Can't I get some like funds to get another windows? It was DEFINITELY NOT my fault. I checked the requirements of the updates and it matched my PC specs.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Microsoft to make Windows 10 updates mandatory

Well, at the moment at least, you can choose to defer upgrades. Under Settings > Windows Updates > Advanced options you need to check the box labeled "Defer upgrades". What does that do? Good question. The answer I've found might illuminate it to a degree.

I hear this only applies to Pro and Enterprise editions. But I can't verify that.
