Windows 10: The windows updates are so bad and make my laptop so slow

Ever since I updated windows ten, my computer got so slow. Even though my computer is 1 year old. So I saw another update and thought that it was fixing this problem and this is not the only problem I have had with the new update, my laptop over heats so fast and my battery dies in 3 hours of doing anything. Anyway, this new update just made my laptop even slower. Fix your stupid software and do something about it. This laptop was $2000 and is worth nothing. I have been looking after this laptop like a baby and is worth nothing because of these updates. And also don't use ryzen in laptops it overheats way to fast and make the battery life not die so fast. Not to say this is a HP ENVY x360 with ryzen 5 2500u with all of my school work on it.

Do windows updates slow down the computer?

slow down? not since I swapped to ssds. Now on my laptop if the fan is going nuts while it appears to be doing nothing, I can rest assured its just windows updates making my normally 5-10db laptop sound like a Harrier.
