    Can you please check the status of the "WLAN AutoConfig" service?

    Open a command prompt make sure you run it in administrator mode!

    bring up the run dialg box - Windows Key + R

    In the "Open:" text box, type "cmd.exe"

    In the command prompt check the status of the service

    at the command prompt, type "SC.exe Query WLanSvc"

    You should see output like the following:

    SERVICE_NAME: wlansvc

    TYPE : 20 WIN32_SHARE_PROCESS

    STATE : 4 RUNNING

    (STOPPABLE, NOT_PAUSABLE, ACCEPTS_SHUTDOWN)

    WIN32_EXIT_CODE : 0 (0x0)

    SERVICE_EXIT_CODE : 0 (0x0)

    CHECKPOINT : 0x0

    WAIT_HINT : 0x0

    If the service is not in the RUNNING state, type "Net.exe Start WLANSvc" at the command prompt.

    Once the service is started, verify you are able to connect to your wireless network(s).

    BEGreen80: Not certain who you were replying to, but here is what I got when I tried that. After I restarted it, it dropped again almost immediately. Had to restart in services manager in order to type response.
