Windows 10: The Xbox is finally becoming a Windows PC. Do you care?

There will be a new XBOX at some point too. I'm just pointing out things as they are now. Assuming the info on that site is accurate.
Microsoft could offer extra free One Drive storage for XBOX owners too, if they wanted. I likely get some if I buy an XBOX Gold subscription, I haven't looked into it yet.
I have the XBOX SmartGlass App on my PC and can remote into the XBOX from my PC. Just like using remote desktop. I haven't done much else than that though.

 

Right Sony does what Sony does but they flashed an HDMI 2.0a and HDR -10 & and 2160p/60 4:4:4 & HDCP 2.2 update to all the HDMI ports on these 4K XBR HDR TV's now that 4K HDR and UHD BD and 4K STB are becoming available and didn't tell anyone at first that these sets could do all that for at let 6 mo. outside of the embedded streaming apps with HDMI 2.0a ,HDCP 2.2 and 2160p 4:4:4 and just needed a firmware flash for all that and we got something else coming this week maybe Android Marshmallow 6.x and Dolby Vision ? .

Right I read the PS4 doesn't have DLNA streaming like PS 3 go figure but I'm betting they could flash it with any number of things *really

 

Microsoft does stupid things like that too. The XBOX 360 will let you store files locally on the internal hard drive. They took that option away on the XBOX ONE? They could give it back with an update. That I would really like to see happen. I bought the 1TB XBOX hoping I could store my music collection on the XBOX. No such luck *Sad

If they gave us features we actually wanted instead of what "they think" we want, it would be a lot more fun. *Wink

You hit it out of the park and your correct that's what it is and always will be regarding anything that gets bumped up " as a new updated version or class "

Thanks goes to Apple with their IPhone and " I " classification when the word gets out when their latest I products get a firm for sale date, their Apple stores get thousands of folks camping out weeks ahead of time, to lay $1000.00 down per device.


Apple is unstoppable now and Google is now in this trend, " with a secret pow wow between Google players and Apples Player "

In a nutshell Apple and Google are partners today in mobile services " they created their own play ground" and I am afraid its the most promising and most profitable market for a very long time...

 

Very capable Chinese phones at ~1/3- 1/4 $$ of iPhones retail might put a dent in thier sales at some point,all that is already killing them in the Huge India market they cant hardly give away iPhones over there used or new .

Apple tried to sell discounted used iPhones there and nobody wants them surprising they are so culturally inept there in India given the demographics of the Apple inc. .

I could have told then that was going to happen nobody wants used status symbol fruit phones or 4-5 -$800.00 fruit phones over there anyway *really

Nothing is unstoppable even civilizations or nations ...history is full of skeletons and history is unstoppable and history is violent *really

Apple in conjunction with Android with their partnerships and syncs in their API and full integration between both of their highly affective and very profitable store " Google Store and Apple Store " I cant see anyone touching or reaching them at their game at this stage, Cousin pick one of these stores and they are both sitting on a gold mine, both stores are the heaviest and must used bandwidths on the mobile and internet hub to this day and expect a lot more load...


Apple and Google are off and going to rack it in very well and beyond even their imagination

Just any hype of any " I " new product the Apple exchange jumps up 10 to 15 points lol

 

for the foreseeable future probably so and likely they will be part and principles of the elite collective oligarchy *maybe* sure to come because of ........... or they could get nationalized in any number of countries like much of the the health care industry or beheaded and cut up by regulation like the US Telecoms at one time and or .......

History is violent & always finds ways to eventually take down monolithic Goliath's ,despots ,governments or just about anthing else devised by mankind and sometimes nature .............seen any live dinosaurs lately or inhabited pyramids or ancient temples lately (how many inhabited castles ?) and what ever happened to the horse and buggy as transportation mainstays or whale oil for lamp fuel or the Durant -Dort carriage co that survives as General Motors and the Packard Motor car co. or ,Pan Am or TWA that didn't survive or Zenith Radio > Zenith electronics or RCA that didn't survive outside of two licencee consumer electronics brands and I think Zenith is all gone now since LG absorbed the brand and RCA is On corp. licencee brand of ROK and some trivial Vox licencee product's nothing is assured beyond death and taxes

Your 100% correct with your statement and cant be more precise.

The issue here today and right now is that Apple and you can say Google have became the only and sole language in schools and high schools and have now become the mandatory technology in the majority of universities and collages right across the word, example if you can get a copy of any reputable collage or university application they request that the student purchase or rent through the institution a Mac powered device, and in the later semester a IPhone for syncing their course of study as a link back to the collage or university servers.


Apple and Google have really placed themselves very good in the root in technology and right off the scale on marketing and that's why Apple and Google will be very strong at the end of the day and when the big change happens they have put themselves right in the centre of the playing field and no stopping them now under normal natural conditions what's or ever " In a nutshell they know what the youth wants and new generation " and they have tapped it very well...
