Windows 10: The "Your Phone" App on Windows 10 crashes after about 4 seconds

Hi I have 2 PCs both running Windows 10 at different sites. This one is build 1809 and I think the other is the same.


I use the "Your Phone" app on both machines connecting to a single Samsung S8+ and everything has works just fine for about a month. I use it for sending texts and occasionally looking at pictures.


A few days ago the app started to crash on the PCs; both of them. I don't know the cause, but I am guessing one of the apps (phone or PC end) updated.


I have tried on the PC going into Settings > Applications > Your Phone > Advanced Settings > Rest on both PCs, but that makes no difference.


I have tried going into the App on the phone and clearing the cache and the data , I have even re-installed the phone app, but that doesn't work.


Any suggestions on what else to try?

Your list confirms my phone is eligible, Lumia 521. The windows Insider App fails after ~ 15 seconds, restores data and gives me error 80073cf9. I trouble shot this and went thru all the steps mentioned on several websites including MS without any luck. Short of a hard reset, this is where I am now. Suggestions appreciated.
