Windows 10: Themes in settings flash like a light switch. Why? Also, downloading free themes asks for...

My Windows 11 is updated and have restarted the device numerous times. When I'm in settings and choose a theme, the themes in the settings flash on and off like a light switch. What could be causing this? Also, when I try to download a free theme from Microsoft, it asks for my credit card but won't accept it nor save, showing an error message: 'RwWgXcpTsUKYfSdvQ8xvSQ.143.1.9'. What does this mean? I have the Surface Laptop 7th edition.

Where we can download themes?

To open a list of links to download more themes, try following these steps:



Menu > Settings > Themes > Theme Downloads .

Follow the steps to download themes and set it as your default theme for your desktop:

• Type themes in the search bar.
• From the dropdown list, select Change the theme.
• Under my themes, click on Get more themes online.
• That should take you to the Microsoft Theme Center.
• Click Download on the theme you choose and click save.
  
• Double click on the theme program and follow the onscreen instructions.

Changing the Theme for File Explorer to Light Theme

I understand your concern related to changing the File Explorer theme from Dark to Light.



You can follow the suggestions mentioned below to change the theme to Light.

1. Press Windows + I keys together to open
   Settings.
   
2. Now click on Personalization
   
3. At the left hand pane select Colors
   
4. Now on the right hand side under Choose your color select the drop down to
   Light
