I'm having another problem with Windows again: Windows 10 I have NO extra workspaces. But, there appears to be a 'phantom' workspace. By that I mean. No official 2nd Win Workspace. Windows key-Tab shows only ONE. But, my mouse disappears well into either the left or right side of the screen. Which side is random; it appears that the 'phantom' workspace just swaps sides at random. That is irritating enough, since I now have to incessantly search for my mouse cursor. Then Some programs sometimes get stuck on that phantom side, and I can't access it. Truth be told, it seems like Firefox is o

Windows Ink Workspace - Reset/Clearing Contents Programmatically

    Hi Robert,

Windows Ink Workspace is part of the system icons. Just like the Start button, the process of Windows Ink Workspace is not going to present in Task Manager. If do not want your users to use the Windows Ink Workspace, we recommend that you disable it. You
can disable Windows Ink Workspace by following these steps:

    • Click the Windows logo (Start button).
    • Click the gear icon (Settings).
    • Select Personalization.
    • On the left pane, choose Taskbar.
    • Under Notification area, click Turn system icons on or off.
    • Locate Windows Ink Workspace, and then click the slider to turn it off.
    • You will now notice that the Windows Ink Workspace is gone from the Taskbar.

If you still want to have a function that will allow you to automatically reset or clear the contents of Windows Ink Workspace, we recommend that you post your suggested function using the Feedback Hub like what was mentioned by
Erika Aro so that our Engineers can look into it and release your suggested feature on the next update of Windows 10.

    Regards.

    Phantom router on network

Recently I've noticed a "phantom" router appearing in my network. The Belkin router is not mine, the Linksys is.

Properties of the Belkin router list serial number, MAC address, model number, model, manufacturer, but no IP address. It only shows up on my desktop, not the Pro 3's or HP laptop's File Explorer under Network.

Desktop is connected to network with a Netgear WNDA3100v3 N600 Dual Band USB Adapter - WPA2-PSK security type. Pro 3 and Laptop connect to network with their internal wireless connections

Haven't noticed any "strange" behavior, or usage, on my machines, but am curious as to why it is appearing in my network.

Also, any suggestions for a program that will scan the network and list all units "attached" to it?

    Phantom router on network

Phantom devices has been going on since Windows 8.1
Don't worry about them, I get a varying selection of neighbours phones, printers, smart TVs etc. They are not connecting, as you have noted no IP address.

"Also, any suggestions for a program that will scan the network and list all units "attached" to it?"

My Netgear Modem/Router/WAP does just that. Just look in Advanced Tab > Administration > Attached Devices. It lists wired, wireless 2.4G and 5G Devices.
