Windows 10: There is a serious bug with Windows 11's RDP and Hyper-V...

At least on the system I was using it on running an AMD Ryzen 7 2700 if you connect to a system that has an active Hyper-V hypervisor running using Remote Desktop, the system will eventually blue screen with a "HYPERVISOR_ERROR" message. This inevitably happened to me every time, including after I did a complete Windows reset. I was eventually forced to roll back to Windows 10 and now I've had no issues with remoting to my home server so there is something that really needs to be addressed here.And, yes, I've submitted a Feedback app message on this subject too but I feel like I need to warn

Hyper-V causes "stutter" from RDP sessions

I have a laptop (Lenovo P51 for reference) that I installed Hyper-V onto so that I could used Docker for Windows.

I always connect to this machine via RDP, but since the install of hyper-v i get a stutter when typing in documents/webpages etc (Not talking about the VM... this is on the base machine). To me it seems like it's a networking issue but could be completely
wrong here.

Running with Hyper-V disabled makes no difference.

Removing Hyper-V solves the problem.

Using the laptop directly (not via RDP) no issues are seen .. Network is Gigabit wired ethernet, machines are both on the same switch.

Can anyone suggest where the problem might be and any potential solutions ?

Hi Geoffrey,

Hyper-V lets you run an operating system or computer system as a virtual machine on Windows. Before proceeding in disabling
Hyper-V, please create a backup of your files for security purposes.

To disable Hyper-V, please follow the steps below:

• On the Cortana search box, type Turn Windows Features on or off and press
  Enter.
• Look for the Hyper-V folder.
• Uncheck the tick-box next to the main Hyper-V folder and click
  OK.
• Restart your PC.

HYPER-V RDP to a VM on the same host

Hi folks

Using RDP to access Linux VM in HYPER-V allows full screen etc - the standard connection method in connect from the HYPER-V menu doesn't have re-sizeable windows and screws up royally with large displays.

On the Linux machine install xrdp and togervnc-server, Start xrdp and then from windows logon to the VM via RDP
