Windows 10: There is a small black box that showed up at the top right corner but will not go away. It...

For some reason a small box appeared in the left top corner of the screen and it stays on all the apps even games. It counted down to 0 than did nothing. Was hoping someone could tell me what it is and how to get rid of it. Tried to upload a picture but was not able.

There is a small box on the top left corner. Its not a monitor issue, since it gets shown on all displays if there are multiple monitors connected and the desktop is duplicated (not if they are extended!).

I understand that you are able to see a white box on top right corner of the screen and it hides some of the apps on the screen. For further clarity on the screen, please respond to the questions below:

1. Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently?
   
2. Do you see anything written on the white box?
   
3. Do you get the box when you restart the PC?
   

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to try performing a clean boot and check if the issue persists.



Performing a clean boot will start the computer with minimal set of drivers and programs, to determine whether a background program is causing the issue. Some of the Startup programs will not load after performing a clean boot on the computer. However,
that functionality will return when you reset the computer to start normally after finishing the troubleshooting.

How to determine what is causing the problem after you do a clean boot
to check which program is causing the issue.
