Windows 10: There is no "CsEnabled" button

Method 1: Restore plans using Powercfg command



Try restoring the missing power plans using the Powercfg command.

1. Press Windows + S key together to open Search.
2. Now type CMD and select Run as administrator.
3. Accept the UAC prompts.
4. Type in the following commands one by one and hit Enter:
   powercfg -duplicatescheme a1841308-3541-4fab-bc81-f71556f20b4a

powercfg -duplicatescheme 381b4222-f694-41f0-9685-ff5bb260df2e

powercfg -duplicatescheme 8c5e7fda-e8bf-4a96-9a85-a6e23a8c635c

5. Restart the PC.



Method 2: Change registry settings

Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

1. Press Windows key + R. This will open Run. Alternatively, you can go to Start and search for ‘Run’
2. In Run dialog box, type ‘regedit’ and hit Enter.
3. In the navigation pane, locate and then select the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power
4. On the right hand pane double-click on CsEnabled DWORD file
5. Under Value Data change the value to 0

6.Restart the PC


I did method 1 but it didn't worked. I can't use DELL VOSTRO 5401 on high performance mode . WHAT SHOULD I DO?

i think the latest update has removed the CsEnabled option and additional power plans aren't available...

plz help with it..

but your suggestion did not work.When i turn off home button in Edge and re-open Edge and turn on home button ...the home icon appears but fades away when Edge is re-opened.

I even uninstalled Edge and re-installed Edge following a fellow members suggestion tutorial but this step did not work either.

The workaround is not a solution as I stated. It merely create an button on the Favorite Bar!

Please follow davidhk's suggestion. You may have to run SFC /scannow three times in order to correct the file corruption problem!
