Windows 10: there is no option to change the date of birth of child account using a parent account and...

I contacted Microsoft support yesterday they told me to wait 24 hours after adding the child account to the family safety thing and il be able th reset the birth of date of the mircosoft account and its been more then 24 hours and there's still no option to change it

to do when you are a parent trying to change your child's birth date:

• Using the parent's Microsoft account, sign in to your
  Family page on the Microsoft account website.
• Select Manage my child's profile info.
• For the child’s account that you want to change, select Edit this child's personal info and then follow the instructions.

How to change child account to adult

Hi Brookelynn,

Your Xbox Live account age will be based from the Date of Birth that you entered when you created your Xbox Live profile online. Once the account reaches the age of 18 years old, it will automatically change to adult.

If you accidentally set up an incorrect Date of Birth on the account, you have to wait for the account to become an adult or create a new account with the correct Date of Birth. However, if your account shows the correct Date of Birth and the system recognizes
it as child account, you can promote the child account to adult by adding a payment instrument and a billing information to your Microsoft Account. You can go to this

link and follow the steps to add a payment instrument to your account.

How to change birth date on microsoft accounts

If your account age is set to 2014, then your account age must be underage.

At this point your account is defined as a children's account under the legal age.

Children's Accounts Under Legal Age Only a parent or other adult with authority to manage the child's account can update the date of birth of a child's account under the legal age.

If your account is in a family group, the date of birth can be changed through the family manager.

Sign in to your account at family.microsoft.com with your Microsoft adult account.



Scroll to the bottom of the Your Family page and select Manage My Child's Profile Information.



On the right side of the Manage Permissions page for the child account you want to change, select Edit this child's personal information and follow the instructions.

(I understand that you are an adult, but your account date of birth was changed to 2014, the system will recognize it as a child account)



You won't be able to change their date of birth without giving their account parental permission.
