My airpods pro frequently stops and pause while playing. I searched the solution and I thought it is because of hand-free telephony. But there is no service setting to uncheck hand-free telephony in my laptop setting.

3. Disable the Hands-Free Telephony service: Go to Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Devices and Printers. Find your AirPods, right-click on them and select "Properties". Then go to the "Services" tab and uncheck "Hands-Free Telephony". Click Apply and OK, then try reconnecting your AirPods.
   
4. Check Bluetooth services: Press Win+R, type "services.msc" and press Enter. In the Services window, find "Bluetooth Support Service", right-click it and select "Restart". Then, right-click it again, select "Properties" and set the startup type to "Automatic". Repeat these steps for "Bluetooth Audio Gateway Service".

Airpods Pro 2 Mic doesn't work on Windows 11

Disable the Hands-free Telephony service

Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers. Right-click on your AirPods and select Properties.

Go to the Services tab and uncheck the Hands-free Telephony option.

Or try Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Sound -> Communications -> Select Option "Do Nothing".

 

Airpods pro 2 conncect through bluetooth but play no sound then disconncect in few seconds

i am having the same issue, when i went through your steps nothing worked. on step 5. 'disabling hands free' i couldn't right click on the airpods to select property's. I even tried to go into the Device Manager list and select my paired airpods there, but i still couldn't find the setting to disable hands free.

regardless if that is even the issue. my airpods will connect and i can hear the windows connect notification through the airpods but no audio from videos would play, and after a few seconds it would disconnect. I also checked to make sure windows was using the airpods as a output audio device in the bottom right of the windows task bar. Still nothing.
