there is not enough memory to complete the operation, on a empty ssd disk

Dear community,I have just bought a new dell laptop. It comes with 500gb of ssd, where windows is installed. I have used the tool "disk management" to create a partition of 200 gb from those initial 500 gb. So now, I have a partition of 300 and another one of 200 gb, I am aware that not all that space is usable. Both of them are in NTFS format. Now the problem arises, I am trying to move a file of 5 gb .rar file from an external drive to my D partition 200 gb one. the process starts and continues up to a point in which an error occurs, "there is not enough memory to complete the operation".

    :)

  2. Disk Management - There is not enough space available on the disk(s) to complete this operation

While trying to partition my Local Disk (Cthere is not enough memory to complete the operation, on a empty ssd disk :), I get the following error:

Disk Management - There is not enough space available on the disk(s) to complete this operation.

    System Information

Surface Book running Windows 10 Pro

SSD has 952.65 GB Capacity with 882.31 GB Free Space

Disk Management Utility shows 148 GB as space available to shrink

    Steps Tried so Far:

    a) Disable Hibernation

    b) Disabled pagefile

    c) Disabled System Protection

    d) Disabled Kernel Memory Dump

    e) Used Defraggler to defragment

    f) Used free partition tools like Ease US Partition Master and Minitool Partition Wizard - The option to Move/Resize Volume are greyed out.

After all these steps, I'm still getting the same error. Please help.

Transfer System disk image to SSD

Here's my suggestion: Connect the SSD to the PC.

    1. Download: Macrium Reflect Free and install then run.
IMPORTANT: click on the 1st icon on the top left to create a Macrium Rescue disk (using USB or DVD)
    2. Open Disk Management and make sure the SSD is disk 1.
      From Admin Command, type:
      diskpart
      select disk 1
      clean
      exit
      exit
    3. From Macrium, The disk with Windows currently running will have the partitions as shown in your screen shot above. Click on Clone this disk...
A Windows popup, click on select a disk to clone to...
      Click on the SSD
    4. Select the 100MB "System Reserved", drag and drop to the destination (SSD)
    5. Select the 60GB "C Drive", drag and drop to the destination(SSD) next to the System Reserved
    6. Click Next->Finish
    7. Once done, shutdown, disconnect the HD and connect the SSD Only
    8. Boot up with the Macrium Rescue disk created in step 1.
    9. Once booted, click on "Fix Windows boot problems" and follow the instruction to complete.
    10. Remove the Rescue disk and reboot.
