I am running a windows 10. Copying files from any hdd to another hdd worked fine yesterday and has worked before. This problem started today. I haven't added new software or installed new drivers or added new hardware.

"There is not enough space HDD2. You need an additiona 8.91 MB to copy these files." This happens when I try to copy a 8.91 MB file from HDD1 to HDD2 (which has more than 1 TB free space). Any idea why this is happening and how I can fix this?

Java.nio.file - Copying files

You can't copy a folder, thats why it generates an exception (you are trying to copy a folder using a copy file function).
You probably need to list all the files inside that folder and copy one by one

Thanks for the suggestions, Hazey. It has helped a bit, but not a huge amount. I've got it down to 70 MB in use, 17 MB free. The only one of your suggestions that I haven't followed was the one about switching the messaging folders from C: to E:. When
I tried switching, I just lost everything in my message folders on C:. Is there any way of copying these messages over?

I still have the 36 MB 'other files' listed when I check the memory details, which is really bugging me.
