There is problem when i add my phone number as alias it wont work. key point: I have already used that phone number once but remove it afterward. what happened

I want to add my cell phone number to my alias list, but keep getting the message, "This phone number is already taken. Please try another." How can I use my cell
phone number as a second alias? I have had my cell phone number for 10+ years.

Ideally, this error comes up when the phone number is already associated to a Microsoft account. We would like to know whether you have used the same number on any other Microsoft account.



However, to add an alias, we would suggest you to refer the section
