Delete PowerShell files. There's one in System32, one in SysWOW64. And SHUT DOWN/pause Microsoft updates and when it's time for an update go ahead but go back in and delete the same files because it will re-create them. There's one in Program Files and Program Files x86. DELETE EM. And HERE'S a BILLION DOLLAR secret the company keeps from EVERYONE... mscorsvw.exeRECOURSES. YES, RECOURSES wouldn't that be NICE. This is ONLY for those who don't live a convenient life, as PowerShell is SO. And SOMETIMES it's better to do without something so downright DANGEROUS just to feel like this shortcut is

PowerShell instead of Commandline in Creators Update

Interestingly enough my personal laptop just got the update...and still has Command Prompt listed, not PowerShell...

Edit: Not that it matters...I use both regularly. *Toast :toast:

RD Gateway Server - how to remove permanently

    Hello,
At my previous job, I was asked to take certain steps (don't remember now what they were) but it was to set up RDP to use a Gateway server.

Now that I've changed jobs, I still see the old IP and Gateway server information. I went to registry and deleted the entries from Terminal client and servers.

However, I still see a server name listed under RDP-Advanced-Settings-Use these RD Gateway Server settings.
I have opted for - Do not use RD Gateway server but was wondering how to remove the old server name entry completely.

    Thanks

PowerShell randomly poping-up in tool bar

    Hello,

Just to verify, do you have any scheduled tasks that uses Powershell? Scheduled tasks makes Powershell window appear periodically on your computer, therefore we suggest that you check the Task Scheduler. Here are the steps:

    • Click on Start.
    • In the search bar, type Task Scheduler and click on

      Task Scheduler
      in the results.
    • Under Active Tasks, check for any tasks that use Powershell and the scheduled time.

If the issue still persist, we suggest that you run a Windows Defender scan to see if it will pick up any malware that the first scan missed.

    Let us know the outcome.
