Windows 10: Think the latest update messed up the monitor of my computer.

Recently I left my computer unattended and when I came back later I moved the mouse for it to boot but nothing happens. The computer is on. The fans move, the caps key light blinks, the light telling me it is connecting to internet is on, and my PC is charged.

I am able to turn it off by holding the power button for five seconds but nothing happens when I turn it on again. Removed the battery to see if anything happens but nothing.

This all happened after a recent update which I feel is likely the issue.

Latest update has messed with my dual monitors

Help! The automatic updates happened a few days ago and since then my dual monitors are completely messed up. Now they are just a duplicate of each other, instead of working independently and the whole display has changed, it's stretched and looks like a
computer in the 80's. I'm not particularly tech-savvy and don't know what to do. It's horrible! A previous update also messed up my monitors but only in the respect that it wouldn't recognise the second monitor at all, I had to manually extend it each time
until a following patch fixed it. But now this latest one has really messed my screens up. I don't get why this keeps happening, driving me nuts! And at such a mad time of year... please help! Thanks

My second monitor quit working after the latest update with Windows 10

Your monitors may not be compatible with the latest update and causing this issue. Please tell us more about it by answering the following questions:

• What is exactly happening with your monitor?
• When was the latest update installed?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

Latest Windows Update Causes Monitors to flash on and off

Using Windows Pro 10 Education

Using dual monitors

Using a variety of HP machines

Latest windows update changes the graphics driver from

• Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 version 23.20.16.4849

to

• Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 version 26.20.100.7156

When this is done, the computers all exhibit the same behaviour: monitors flash on and off and back on again at random intervals.

Solution so far: roll back the driver, kill Windows Update for Drivers.

Can you also please check your latest updates and remove this update?
