    And the problem is definitely Win10 related. That is the main variable that has changed since this started happening.

    The laptop is a W510. I will post detailed specs soon. Any other preliminary steps you have, do tell.

    Goodbye Ovi Suite, Hello PC Suite

    I agree with most of these posts. I haven't use PC Suite, but OVI Suite is EXTREMELY slow application. On my Core i7 and 8GB RAM it works as if I had old Pentium 4 and 512 MB memory. Awful, raw piece of something.

    We use a lot of Think Pad's with i7's at my office, with Windows 10, and I haven't heard complaints from teammates that performance is lacking in any way.

    What we probably will find in your Thinkpads is that there's something different different about yours at work when compared to my slow one at home.
    If we could identify exactly what those differences are, we may be able to tweak the slow machine in order to improve its performance.

    That might be so. However, we don't have any information whatsoever on your model, specs, and exact quantification of the problem.

    What is slow and how slow is it? Does it take 4 minutes to boot to Windows, does it take 17 minutes to shut off.

    Are you really running Windows 10 enterprise LTSB?
