  1. Third-party Authorization process thinks my computer is two different computers every shut down

I've have a strange issue with a third party app's authorization process throwing errors because it thinks, after every shut down, my computer is a different computer it flip flops between recognizing two different log ins. I've been in contact with the developer of the app, which I feel I should keep private, but they said their app uses a third party authorization process, but all I know is it 'digs into system stuff' to determine if the computer is indeed the same computer that was authorized. Nevertheless, for some reason it thinks my computer is two different computers, and it flip flop

    Computer Shuts Down

    Hi Austin,

If your computer shuts down unexpectedly when the battery is at 50%, it is possible that the battery is defective or that the drivers of the battery is incompatible with Windows 10 version 1709. For us to isolate the issue about shutting down when the battery
is at 50%, kindly respond to the questions below:

    • Is your computer new? Or, is it an old computer upgraded to Windows 10?
    • What is the make and model of your computer?
    • Have you checked if the driver for your battery is updated? If not, kindly do so.
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done? This is for us to know and to avoid any duplication of efforts on your end.

We look forward to your response.

Shut Down Computer in Windows 10

I find it easier to link to the separate tutorial for the different ways (3) to open Win+X that most folks already know instead of overloading the steps with the info since this tutorial is about different ways to shut down the computer instead.

There are often many ways to open something that don't always need to include all of them to accomplish the main goal. I often have a link in the steps though in case one would like to see or have referenced the different ways.

For example, in some tutorials I have open the Control Panel in step 1. I just link for how in the step instead of having all the different ways to open the Control Panel.
