  1. Third screen was working but now not detected after moving devices to a new physical location

I have two external monitors connected to my laptop with a hub. I had all three screens, laptop and both monitors, working. I moved them to another room and now the laptop only displays one monitor. The other has power but just gives me a message to check the cable and goes to sleep. I have checked and rechecked several times. When I go to display settings and click on detect it says no other displays detected. I've searched for fixes but most just say to click on the monitor and say extend, but the monitor does not even show up. My drivers say they are up to date and all updates have

    :)

Cannot move desktop to a new location in Windows 7

I've been trying to move the desktop location on a machine that runs Windows 7.

On my own machine (Windows 10), there's a "Location" tab in the desktop properties.

That tab is missing on the machine that runs Windows 7.

I came across the suggestion below in other threads, but it is not working for me. Any other suggestions on how to change to location or how to get the location tab to show?

    Thanks!

    1. Open the Registry editor (Regedit.exe)
    2. Browse to the location:

HKCU > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Explorer > User Shell Folders.
    3. In the right window pane select the required value (i.e. Desktop).
    4. Insert the new location for the folder to be stored.
    5. Close the registry editor and log off

      --> Didn't work.

    Locate device

    Hello,

Are these the steps you're doing when trying to locate your device?

    • Go to
      account.microsoft.com/devices
. If you're asked to sign in, use the same Microsoft account you used to sign in to the lost device.
    • Choose your device from the list, then select Find my device.
    • You'll see a map with a highlighted location. However, this may not be your device's current location. When a Microsoft device is turned on, we periodically save your device location, so check the
      Last seen at timestamp.
    • In the meantime, we'll automatically start a new search. Wait a bit and the new device location should appear.

You can also have the option of locking the device to render it useless unless that the person knows your credentials. Here's how:

    • When you find your device on the map, select Lock > Next.
    • Type a lock-screen message for anyone who finds your device to see.
    • Select Lock. Note that anyone who finds your locked device can't sign in unless they are an admin for a Microsoft account already on the device.
    Reset your password
Once your device is locked, you should reset your password for added security. Select
Reset password and follow the instructions.

I'll be waiting for your updates.
