Windows 10: This application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect Help

So a while back I got Microsoft Flight Simulator X on a disc and played it for a while. When I heard the new one came out I wanted to play the old one like old times. However, I have a new pc than before so I move the game files to onedrive and download them on my current pc. However when I tried to play the game I got this message. "This application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-lin sxstrace.exe tool for more detail." I don't know what this means and how to fix it so I was hoping I could get some help.
