Windows 10: This evening my laptop started typing the number 6 and will not stop can't even log into it...

This evening when I tried to log into my laptop it started typing the number 6 nonstop now I can't even log in to it to try to update the drivers, as soon as I open my laptop it starts typing 6 what is this never seen this before

Keyboard typing numbers in Cortana and won't stop clicking

I've watched several videos and read many suggestions. Tried them all but to no avail.
After converting to Windows 10, my keyboard won't stop clicking, even after using
the OSK option to turn off clicking. REAL ANNOYING! Also, when I type in Cortana,
all I get is numbers. Seems to be OK otherwise. Any help is good help. Thanks.

I cant log into my laptop since i cant type numbers

I just tried to log into my laptop, its running windows 10 home. I use a pin for log in...but suddenly I found that when I type a number its not showing but numlock was on and its light was on also...i tried several times to type my pin but in vain...numbers
didn't show up...then I tried to log in by my live account password but I found that caps lock is working in reverse..and as my password contains numbers and I cant type them so....its already a week but I cant log in to my laptop...I have important files
in it...

I thought my laptops keyboard is dead so i tried a external keyboard but it was the same as before...so laptops keyboard was fine...I even tried to log into safe mode but it requires a password too.......so..Anyone PLEASE help me...im begging to u all...please
help me !!!!!!!

 

After typing the first letter/number, the cursor stops flashing and nothing else will type in.

  Does the issue persists only in email and while entering the password or with other applications too?

  Did you make any changes prior to the issue?

As an initial step of troubleshooting, I suggest you to try using the on screen keyboard and check if the issue persists

Follow the steps below to open the on screen keyboard.

• Type on screen keyboard in the search bar and select
  On screen keyboard from the search items.

If you are able to type properly using the on screen keyboard then, it might be issue related to the keyboard hardware.

I suggest you to follow the below steps to run the
Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

• 
  Type Troubleshooting in the search bar and press
  Enter key.
  
• 
  In the Troubleshooting window, click on
  View all option on the left pane.
  
• 
  Click on Hardware and Devices.
  
• 
  Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions.
  

If the issue persists, using on screen keyboard as well, then it might be an issue related to a third-party application or might be virus issue.

I suggest you to perform a full system scan using Windows Defender and check if it helps.
