Windows 10: This fullscreen update notification pop-up

    I'm not even sure what to call this "Updates are available" pop-up. Is this a toast notificaiton?

    I had my windows 10 beaten down into submission, all configured without the controversal or obtrusive features, but after installing some of the latest Serving Stack & Cumulative Update packages, some stuff must have reverted because I'm seeing this annoying pop-up for the first time.

    How do I disable it without having leave Windows Update Service entirely disabled?

    can i move the action center to my second monitor?

    While we're on the subject of the Action Center and its shortcomings, has anyone else noticed that the Action Center's notifications will temporarily limit the monitor's FPS/refresh-rate to 60FPS/60Hz? I often play games in 144Hz borderless-fullscreen
    so it's super obvious when the performance drops only when a notification pops up. This limitation of performance may be due to inflexible settings in the translucency effect or slide-out animation for the notifications.

    how do i keep windows 10 taskbar from appearing in fullscreen video and games

    Hiding the taskbar like @CourageDog said usually helps unless you have a game with a free cursor that could pop it up accidentally. Be sure to check your game's settings for a fullscreen or borderless fullscreen option. Also doing a quick search for the
    software in question + "Borderless Fullscreen" often provides useful workarounds.

    I have never seen a full-screen notification like that. I would suspect malware and would scan with AdwCleaner.

    Edit: Probably because I'm not on Pro and haven't played around with windows update in gpedit. It may well be a legit MS message, see this thread...
