Windows 10: This is why windows defender sucks

Since when have you stopped listing "threat" names/locations on the detection page? I just got a false positive, and had to dig into event logs to figure out why MsMpEng was slowing my PC to a crawl.. Turns out you thought nvidia was changing my hosts file without permission, and decided to freeze my firefox when i attempted a quarantine. Noice.Info from the "Windows security" page what an oxymoron: [cant be copy pasted, because reasons? Here's a screenshot..And here's the much more helpful windows event log info, that finally told me what file was actually in question.. Very nice way to fin

Windows Defender problem

To troubleshoot this issue, we suggest that you check the Windows Defender service if it's running. If you are using a third party spyware/malware program, it may disable the Windows Defender service. To do this, please follow the steps below:

• Press Windows + R key.
• Type services.msc.
• Right-click Windows Defender service and click
  Start.

Let us know the result.

Installing Apps on Windows 10 Has Windows Defender Finding Malware

I would suggest you to open Windows defender and add exclusions and check if it helps. Follow the steps to add exclusions in windows Defender.

  Type Windows defender settings in the search bar and press enter
  
• 
  Under Exclusions click on Add Exclusion
