Windows 10: This issue is driving me insane. Problem with PnP device?

There's a yellow triangle with an exclamation inside when I see my laptop's name on the Device and Printers tab in the control panel. Troubleshooter is no help. but when I click on full report, this is what I get:




Restarting my laptop doesn't do anything and everything I found on the internet is of no help at all. I removed my printer, fax, tried updating my monitor driver, and I did the command prompt scanner and it could not find any corrupted files or drivers. This issue is not hindering my ability to use my laptop, but I just want to fix for my own peace of mind. Please help me. Thank you.

I would suggest you follow steps to update the monitor driver:

Press Windows + X keys

Choose Device manager

Click on Monitors

Right click on ‘Generic PnP monitor’ and click on update driver

Tap on Browse my computer for driver software

Tap on Let me pick from a list of available drivers

Choose ‘Generic PnP monitor’ and tap on Next

When you are done please restart the computer.

 

DVD Drive issues.

The games used to run, now apparently the disks don't even read.

Go to Device Manager and remove the DVD
Scan for hardware changes and update driver as OS suggests

Still not working?

1) Clean the heads.
2) Run a diagnostic program on the drive.

Nothing else has changed about your system aside from the OS?

Revert to XP Home, assuming you don't find the source of the problem in steps above.

Hi I'm Peter an independent advisor, common with pnp devices windows applies generic drivers which don't always work correctly. I would first suggest going to device manager and updating drivers for the device your having issues with.

System File Checker in Windows works as an automatic troubleshooter. It scans for corrupt system files and problematic drivers, and then restores/repairs them. Follow the steps to perform this method.

Step 1. Go to Cortana and type Command prompt. Right-click on Command Prompt from results and select Run as administrator.

Step 2. In the Command Prompt window, type sfc /scannow then press enter.

Step 3. Wait for the SFC to scan and fix the issues. This could take up to 15 minutes, so be patient.
