Windows 10: This page is slowing down Firefox, hit stop message = My hotmail now outlook showing "a...

First it started with hotmail not formatting right, or taking a long time to change bullets to numbers, or just to clear an empty line. My speed is fine. Rest of internet and web working fine.Now, I get "This page is slowing down Firefox, hit stop." This is extremely annoying. The basic functions of editing and sending an email are not working in 2 browsers.

Images stopped showing in Outlook/Hotmail

You're most welcome. I did find this setting in Hotmail that is related. I have heard some users suggest that changing this setting to [Don't use the Outlook service to load images] as a solution to missing images. I use a local client for my Hotmail and rarely use a browser for email. As you can see, mine is set to use the Outlook service to load images and a quick check shows images appear. Might be worth a look & tweak.

 

Hotmail gone.

I had a message from Firefox saying it seemed slow to open and suggested I did a refresh.
I did the refresh but my e mail Outlook Hotmail .com programme no longer shows on the toolbar.
is this a Firefox or Microsotf problem to restore it?

Hi |1234 Welcome to Ten Forums. *Smile Is there a possibility that during Windows Updates that both your browser settings were reset to default of not allow images? It does sound like a browser permissions issue. Check this for Chrome and this for Firefox. The FireFox 'Check image permissions is halfway down the page. You usually can set these permissions globally for all sites or individually if you prefer to maintain the 'not allow' setting for other sites. I use Vivaldi, a Chrome based browser. If the site permissions for images are set to block while viewing Hotmail, I only see image place holders in emails.

Changing this setting to allow, restores the images.
