Windows 10: This PC is under DESKTOP in My Files tree view

Hi, can someone help me fix this, please? It's pretty bugging me a lot. Why is this so? I know 100% this is NOT part of an update or something, and it isn't enjoyable. It's been like that since day one. I've been using this PC. I saw a similar thread made years ago, but now since I'm using Windows 11, the Windows Explorer is a bit different in UI, and I can't figure it out.

• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far? I have re-installed third party software.
  Tree View still does not work.
• Did you make any changes on the computer before you encountered this issue?
  Have not made any changes other than installing other software.
• Are you getting any error messages? No error messages.....program freezes and has to be shut down by closing window.

Based on the description that you provided, you are experiencing this issue when using a third party software. Having said that, we also suggest that you contact the developer of the said software for further assistance. Currently working with third
party provider to solve the issue....no luck so far. The third party software provider has isolated the problem down to the Tree View Control. They had me find the MSCOMCTL.OSX file and check the product version as well as other dates such as date/time stamp,
the date created, Modifued and Accessed....Still waiting to hear back from them since I supplied this info. They also have told me that no other user of their software has experinced the problem I have. They have maintaining that the problem is specific to
my computer.......I am at a loss.

 

File Explorer... Tree View rearranged... everything is nested under Desktop

Find an empty place within the File Explorer tree and Right-Click. Untick "Show All Folders". This will make the display show as you expect it to.

I have no idea how this happened. When I open a File Explorer window, the tree view of files on the left hand side is all screwed up. Instead of having a options for "Quick Access", "OneDrive", "This PC", and "Network"... I only have "Quick Access" and
"Desktop".

Everything else is nested under "Desktop"... "Dropbox", "OneDrive", "This PC", "Libraries", "External Drive", "Network", "Homegroup", "Control Panel", "Recycle Bin".

Any ideas on how I can reset to default? Thanks in advance!
