  3. Botched Windows 10 update of 17th August 2017. Creators MAYHEM - I AM NOW MOVING TO APPLE MAC

Following windows updates of the last 3 weeks that have destroyed 3 of my business PCs. Only found out after mandatory updates that machines that worked fine before are no longer compatible.

At the end of July an update to win 10 came and was applied to all 3 computers. First thing I noticed was the dramatic speed reduction of processing indicating CPU overload. In 1 PC the CPU was constantly running at 98 – 100%.

On 3rd August yet another even larger update was forced on us. This is the one that caused utter mayhem on all 3 computers.

The main PC after completing the update took 6.5 hours just to get basics back, so many internal settings had been changed it looked like a completely different system. That day I had started work at 6.45 and finally managed to
get my order processing completed by 15.15. Around 16.30 a message flashed on the screen advising of yet another large update with a 30 second warning of an update that would take around 90 minutes. Bang went the rest of my days work, computer wise. I finished
packing orders at 22.55. Back to update. At the end a welcome message appeared on the screen “Welcome to your new system”. An utter disaster unfolded.

    Acrobat Reader gone.

All settings for data files reset to use only MS win 10 programs

Network disabled – never managed to get that going and still haven’t.

All printer drivers disabled. Window 10 can find printers but states they are all offline and in troubleshooting not powered. My question here. If they are powered down how can win 10 see printers?

Browser settings changed ie pdf to go to save and not print. That took 2 people 2 days to work out (On new PC).

About 2 hours after this update completed the power supply in my main PC started whistling and making funny noises followed by an enormous bang. PC dead.

Computer 2 suffered it completed the update but no longer boots.

Computer 3 failed to complete update and froze at 88%, lost its keyboard and mouse. Now will not boot up.

    6th August 2017

I have had to purchase a brand new PC and software MS Office 365 as the new OS would not accept my old Office number just to back online ready for Monday trading. Cost so far over £700. This Acer system
came pre-installed with latest version of Windows 10. It has taken nearly a week to get the PC fully up and running install additional software. This morning the final piece of the re-build was completed, the setting up of a double printer driver for my laser
    printer.

    17th August 2017

Then pops up a message The Creator update is ready to install.

It took over 2 hours to install and all settings on the PC have been reset to default to using MS programs same as updates of end of July and 3rd August. A total and utter WASTE OF TIME SETTING THINGS
UP. GONE OUT THE WINDOW. Last week this took me 3 days to set up all these and reassign files to specific programs. I now have to do it all over again. The final straw I found about an hour ago, after having an engineer to complete printer set up, all the
work he did this morning has been removed.

AS A RESULT OF THIS TONIGHT I START DISCUSSION WITH MY IT TEAM TO SWITCH TO APPLE MAC and GOODBYE and *********************************** TO MICROSOFT.

    STOP MESSING WITH PEOPLE LIVES.
