  1. This will be long, so bear with me... Main symptom: computer won't boot.

Yesterday, I was running my computer with no issues, no new downloads, etc. The only things open were Microsoft Word and my browser. All of a sudden, I got the famous blue screen of death, and the reason had to do with memory. I know I haven't exceeded the memory capacity, but I didn't get a chance to copy down the exact problem code, because the computer shut off. I only recall it had to do with memory, perhaps it was RAM, perhaps not.

When I tried to reboot it, it goes past the BIOS phase, but it keeps getting stuck at "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key". As you may know, no amount of button pressing fixes this screen, so I have to Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart it.

I have checked all cables and ports, mainly by plugging in new cables into different ports. This fixes nothing.

I have gone into the BIOS and verified that the settings are correct. It is indeed booting the correct drive.

My BIOS is not set to Legacy anywhere. It is running UEFI settings.

I have tried to reset all UEFI settings in the BIOS.

    None of these options helped.

I have tried pulling the C drive SSD Lexar 512MB drive and checking it on other computers. They show it exists but they say it needs to be formatted. I'm trying to NOT delete all of my apps on there, so I haven't done that. But the broken computer as well as other computers see the drive. It just won't boot.

I have loaded a USB with Windows 10 to repair it.

Startup Repair says it can't fix my computer.

I had some windows updates recently, so I tried to uninstall those, but they have an error and won't do anything.

I have tried locating a system restore point or another system image, but neither of those work.

I have gone into diskpart, and got some unusual results there.

When I use "diskpart->list disk", it shows all the disks correctly, except it says my C drive is empty.

When I use "diskpart->select disk 0" and then "list partition" it says there are no partitions on my C drive. Maybe that's normal, I don't know.

When I use "diskpart->select disk 0" and then "list volume", my C drive isn't on the list, for some reason.

When I use "bootrec /fixmbr", it succeeds.

When I use "bootrec /fixboot" it says "element not found".

When I use "Bootrec /ScanOS" or "Bootrec /rebuildbcd", it says:

"Successfully scanned Windows installations. Total identified Windows installations: 0
    The operation completed successfully."

When I follow up with "bcdedit /export c:\bcdbackup", it says it cannot be found.

And finally, when I use "detail disk" I think it was..., it says "Boot Device: No", but I feel like it should say yes...

...I just want my computer back, can anyone help me?

    :)

Kursah, that 6 steps are granted it always boots at the 6th step (sometimes at the 4th) and I have to remove the ethernet cable every time otherwise I'll have to do countless steps, that's a fact. I do not have Wake On Lan set.
