Windows 10: This windows 10 pc can no longer accesss my NAS drive

This PC has been backing up to a LaCie Cloud storage device on my home netwrk for the past several years and now is no longer able to do it's weekly backup and I can not open the drive in file explorer on this pc. All the other devices in my house can still open the drive in file explorer. I have tried all the fixes I have seen in forums to no avail.

A few possible reasons can cause this issue. To help us identify the cause of this problem, we would like to know the following information:

• How is your NAS box connected to your computer? (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or USB)
• Are you using a program provided by the manufacturer of your NAS box to access it?
• Do you receive any error messages when accessing your NAS box? If yes, what is the exact error message?
• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Map NAS drive Windows 10

I see other people noting this issue but on Windows 10 I am no longer able to log into my NAS drive which is sitting on a WiFi router, I was able to do this easily from Windows 8, but sadly not after the upgrade. The issue seems to be the authentication
process that Windows 10 wants to use if you try and map the drive. I can see the NAS drive but just not able to log in. It looks like a domain issue. I have had a read of the posts and this seems quite common, but no workable solutions appear to be proposed
that I can find. Any suggestions?
