Windows 10: Thought I lost my files, now I actually may have lost my files...

    Thought I lost my files, now I actually may have lost my files...


    I went from 1903 to 2004 last night and upon reboot I had a mini panic attack because I didn't see any of my files. It seemed like I had a hard reset on my PC. Thankfully, I went into my users and found all my documents and photos in another user folder. So I clicked/dragged everything to their new home.

    Cut to this morning, I load my PC back up and I get the "We're getting some things ready for you screen." I found that odd considering I thought I went through all that last night. I log back in, and now my files are gone again, and I can't find them anywhere!

    Now I think what happened was last night I was in some kind of temporary user, which is why it seemed like I'd done a clean install of Windows. But now I'm just trying to find my files, which are apparently gone.

    Anyone know how to help me get them back?

    File Lost!!

    I had that happen once where I lost a file that was too big to recover, and I couldn't find a utility that could do it, either . . .

    I ended up having to take the HDD to CompUSA and have them retrieve the lost info *Eek! Thought I lost my files, now I actually may have lost my files... :eek:

    File Lost!!

    I am in deep shit, I lost a File on accident that my father had been working on for 3 months *Bang Head :banghead:and its been emptyed from the recycle bin*Bang Head :banghead:*Bang Head :banghead:. I have done system restore point as far back as I could go but the file still did not apear in the documents folder. I have download several Recovery tools and none of them can find it. Surely someone here know of someway or some mircle programe that can recover it. Please anyone help.*Cry :cry:
