Windows 10: "Thread Stuck in Device Driver" BSOD Error

BSOD - Thread Stuck In Device Driver

I keep getting the (BSOD) Blue Screen Of Death that shows the error message, "THREAD STUCK IN DEVICE DRIVER"

After a reboot, the machine works fine - sometimes only for a few hours, other times up to a day or to before it seemingly inexplicably displays the BSOD again.

My System Info is as follows:

Windows 10 Pro

HP ProBook 450 G1

Intel Core i5

RAM 8 GB

64 Bit

What steps do I need to take to fix this?

Thread Stuck in Device Driver error. Outdated BIOS may also lead to this error. In this case, you might need to contact the manufacturer of your computer, or view the documentation that is included with your computer for information about the
BIOS and how to update it.

When you say you are getting failures while using Windows Update to update the drivers, have you tried to manually download and install the drivers from the device manufacturer's website? Also,
I suggest that you check Device Manager for yellow exclamation (!) mark for all hardware devices. If there is any yellow exclamation mark, then install latest drivers for that particular hardware.
